A running toilet can quietly waste a remarkable amount of water. The usual culprits are a fill valve that no longer seats, a worn flush valve or diaphragm, or a cistern that has been set slightly out of level. Leaks at floor level are often the pan connector rather than the cistern, which is worth knowing before anyone lifts a floor.
We repair close-coupled, back-to-wall and concealed-cistern WCs, replace fill and flush valves, and fit complete new toilets including wall-hung pans on concealed frames. Where a frame is being fitted into studwork we make sure it's properly braced, because that's what stops movement later.
Leaks are about finding the actual source rather than the wettest point. A stain on a ceiling can sit some distance from the failed joint. We trace leaks methodically — checking compression joints, soldered joints, push-fit connections, waste seals and shower trays — then repair or re-run the affected section in copper or high-quality plastic.
We also carry out planned pipework alterations: capping off redundant pipes, re-routing supply pipework out of the way of building work, moving waste pipes for a new kitchen or utility layout, boxing in exposed runs neatly, and replacing old sections that have been patched too many times. Isolation valves go in wherever they'll make future work easier.

We also replace seized or leaking stopcocks and add isolation valves so you can turn off part of the house rather than all of it. Where water pressure is poor throughout the property, we'll test it and explain the realistic options rather than guess.
Low water pressure has several possible causes: a partially closed or furred stopcock, a restricted supply pipe, an old gravity-fed system that simply can't deliver what a modern shower expects, or a mains supply that's genuinely weak. Getting the diagnosis right matters, because the fixes are very different in cost.
We measure static pressure and flow rate, check the incoming supply and the pipework serving the affected outlets, and then explain the options — cleaning or replacing valves, upgrading a restricted section of pipework, fitting a pump, or moving to an unvented cylinder as part of a wider bathroom project.
